For this unit me and my group of 3 made an Adidas advert .To stick to the theme of sport and a very energized atmosphere we chose to create a very fast and upbeat advert. In the advert we start of with a little montage of pedestrians wearing the Adidas product, we did this to portray our logo which is ‘we are london’ meaning that everyone in London owns this Adidas product ,next in the advert we start adding in varies sports from dancing ,skateboarding ,bmx and roller-skating .throughout the advert we made sure we spread out the different shots of the sports and also made sure it was well synced with the music.
Looking at the feedbacks, what really made the advert stand out was the use of music and the focus on certain shots and how me and my group was able vary our shots making it interesting to watch.Another thing was linking the concept of the advert to the product .
What really pleased me about making the video was that although i've filmed other things in the past ,filming an advert was something new to me so it was an experience to look forward to , also being able to help direct, film and edit something that came to win 2nd place in the adverts competition made me very proud . Another thing that made me excited to make the video was because of the devoted team i had , because my team was motivated to do well it also influenced me to put hard work and focus a lot on it.
In the Final adverts i'm very pleased with the skating scenes , the reasons for this is because out of all scenes it took more effort to film and a lot of planning and after all the hard work in the end it made the advert really stand out .
From the feedbacks i was actually told that the advert wasn't far behind from a professionals advert which really made me happy because that means theres no much things i would have to do if i wanted to make the advert professional ,like for example the camera used was a cannon 550d with a basic lens ,if it was a professional advert maybe more hi-teck camera's would be used or just even a better lens, Another thing that would have made it look more professional like an exiting adidas advert would be the locations and also the actors , when you have a wide range of people willing to take part with their own adidas outfit you can show more people in one shot wearing adidas but due to the lack of adidas jumpers we had to keep swapping who wore it when.
In our advert the persuasive technique we used was the use of being repetitive , in the advert we made sure the adidas logo was shown at least every 5 seconds , doing this keeps reminding the audience what the advert is about without having to include voice over or text in-between different shots.
Looking at the response it got from the audience that watched it i think it could be successful in selling products
The positive thing about choosing to make an advert for adidas is that it appeals to people of all ages and gender. Although it is rare to find a 90 year old skateboarding and doing stunts adidas is a really old brand and the advert reminds the old people of when they were young and also how something created in their generation is still standing. As for the youths and the teens because most of the time they like following trends so this is a new trend for them follow
In the planning stages we had a lot more ideas to include in the advert but due to some last minute arrangements we had to stick with what we had , i wasn't really happy that this had to happen because personally in my opinion if we had added all the other sports for example boxing and athletic it would have made the advert look more professional and better and preferably would have reached out to more people.

TASK 5
This Advert in my opinion is Aimed at male youths and young adults , i think this because it uses what the majority of boys prioritize and that's the theme of being able to attract a girl just like that .
I think this advert is aimed at middle class and upper class men and woman from the age of 25 and onward, i think this because people that usually start smoking because they want to try and release stress and business men and upper class people that are involved with a lot of money are usually stressed although also wealthy.
This Advert is aimed at middle class people mostly mums because traditionally its the mum that does all the cooking in the house .

prezzi evaluation
Using the site prezzi is all something new to me. what i like about prezzi is that it
turns a boring plain brainstorm or PowerPoint into a very animated and fun to watch presentation.
Presentation is the practice of showing and explaining the content of a topic to an audience or learner. Presentations come in nearly as many forms as there are life situations. In the business world, there are sales presentations, informational and motivational presentations, first encounters, interviews, briefings, status reports, image-building, and of course, the inevitable training sessions (ref:wiki).

When I started using prezzie I found it difficult due to the fact I had just been introduced to it on the other hand because I’m a pretty fast learner I started getting the hang of it and managed to design the presentation in my own way and style. Also being a very confident person I found it really easy to present it to the class, the positive feedbacks I got were ,I’m clear spoken ,the use of improvisation really worked well and also the fact that I used audio in the background in my presentation helped to make it more entertaining .
From the feedbacks , my main weakness’s were the lack of details involved in the presentation. I also realized this weaknesses because although I did a lot of improvisation I ran out of points to improvise on which made the presentation look very un-organized. In order to next time get a better outcome if I was to make another presentation I will have to do more research and have more paper work to back up my chosen subject.

Task 1
TV Advertisements are basically short video's that usually last under a minute published on t.v to advertise and try and sell products
In order to try and persuade their target audience , in their adverts they usually include a lot of persuasive language ,a lot of repetitive language for example jingles and slogans.
it is estimated that the average american consumes Around 3,000 adverts a day the reasons for this because adverts are shown nearly everywhere ,on air balloons ,billboards,tv,shop floors ,bus's ,shelves,on the side of telephone booths and also blimps. The only way you could avoid being exposed to adverts is if your asleep. Because of their great advertisement campaigns over the years, the company 'coca cola' is the 2nd most uttered word in the usa.
Advertisers that usually sell materialized usually add personalities and characters to try and sell their products this technique is successful because those characters represent the product and so if you can’t talk to the product or connect in any way with the product you can connect with the character for example the malborn cigerette was aimed at working class white men who had just come back from war and just sat behind the desk.
Research is a big part of advertisement ,research in advertisement started in 1932 by a man called George Gallop realized that a lot of persuasion was needed in order to sell a product and doing research to know what the public wanted helped to do this.Research also helps agencies prove to clients why they should spend millions on adverts and also. From all the research advertisers realized that the main methods that made adverts effective is color print on ads showing short headlines and also repetition was a key to success.

since we are exposed to so much adverts most of the times we don't care when they come on but advertisers have figured out a way of keeping us on a specific channel and not switching over and thats by making sure the first thing you see attracts you.every year advertising improves in some way or another for example when the internet started to be something in everyones house holds companies started advertising online but a research shows up to 50% of the public don't bother clicking on them and so they have looked for a new approach and thats to pay people to watch adverts

TASK 6 REVIEW REPORT
Over the past 5 weeks a lot of strategies were used in order for me to have a good outcome on my project and also learn for the future. Over the 5 weeks I applied a lot of independent learning to what I was doing because I realised that if in order to do well in the media industry it is not good to rely too much on others people knowledge, doing this also helped me discover more how to use the program and I was also able to translate my ideas in my editing. The target that I managed to complete successfully in the class was the target set on 16th/09/11 and that was to ‘identify key purposes of blogging and create our own blogs’, the reason why i managed to easily complete this target is because overall I’m a very practical person and since the target was practical I really enjoyed it.
Looking at the learning logs I’ve realised that although I’m a very practical person i always leave things incomplete and rely on doing it in my spare time, because of this a lot of targets were delayed and rushed, on the other hand i realised that i applied a lot of creative thinking in what I was doing , this is really important because in the media industry you need to ne unique and very creative in order to stand out. In most of the targets that involved editing i found it really hard to use ICT, since this is my first confrontation with this editing program i struggled to understand how things worked but later on after using my listening skills I managed to learn the basics .what made this project quite simple and easy to do was that i was willing to learn and also find out new things.
I’ve learnt that although I’m a person that is willing to learn at all times, when i start to struggle if i do not get support i start to become lazy and wait until I get help, at times i try to do things myself but i get scared i may ruin my work for example in the editing stages, in the past i have never worked with video formats such as MOV because I’m not always around Mac computers, so I found it extremely difficult to import media files. One of the things that really let me down as a student is my concentration, because I’m such a co-operate and talkative person I may sometimes start conversations at unnecessary times leading me to not being fully concentrated on my work and because of this the outcome of my work may sometimes not be as good as it could be. At the moment i like the way everything is planned out for example my timetable because it gives me time to do other things than media , for example i also act and so I have to attend training and also have social time and study in my own time.
Throughout this project there are loads of key skills that i will be taking on for example being independent because in this world it’s every man for themselves so if I’m certain with what I’m doing then it’s all good .Improving my concentration is also a must because if not then I will miss out on all the important things and it will prevent me from being more of an affective learner. Being creative comes natural to me , i like to think out of the box so if i keep on using this skill in everything i do then i’m sure i will achieve the best of my ability.

video profile evaluation
From the feedbacks and comments I received I think my video profile was presented fairly well and I managed to get my message across to the audience.
When I first started filming my video profile, In my mind had a lot of ideas and effects I wanted to apply to it in order to make it stand out but due to the lack of time and effort I had to rush things in the last minute. The first 30secs of the video was things I had previously planned to include in my video profile but due to taking long to plan, other audio and visuals after that was thought of on the spot.
During the filming of my video profile a lot of improvisation and thinking on the spot was used, something in the video that gives it away is when I speak in the video there’s some stuttering and lack of confidence in my voice.
Something that made my video profile really stand out is the use of music, a lot of the comments on my video referred to how the music went well with what I was talking about and fir in perfectly and also how I made the right choice of songs.
In my video I tried my hardest to include the 5 shot rule to show my knowledge of the different shot angles but I tried to not overdo it and add in too much, from the comments the viewers were happy in the way I applied the shot types.
Overall I think my video profile was a successful project because I managed to get the message across to the audience, what could help improve my video is if next time I’m much more clear spoken.

the target audience is middle aged people and also young adults because it's mostely them that are in little relationships, older couples will mostly be married.
this video only appears on the internet.
the purpose of this video is to start a discussion
For a video created by an amatuer the quality is very impressing and so is the audio
video Viral Analysis
THE NAME OF ADVERT IS "BANNED UMBRO ADVERT"
In the advert we first come across a dog and its owner facing towards a bus stop.there is an old lady sitting at this buss stop. The buss stop is in the shape of a goal tempting the man to do something really cruel.Using dog treats ,the owner does everything to get the dog to jump , as the little dog jumps to get the treat the owner then 'volley's' (a football shooting technique) him to the bus stop shaped as a goal.
The target audience in my opinion is football lovers and those that are really passionate about football on the other hand it would really offend those that are seriously against animal cruelty.
The first digital platform that it appeared on was the television but since being band you could only find it on the internet.
I think the company 'umbro' chose this concept to show that maybe wearing their brand makes you feel more passionate to take part in a sport and because of this you will try to take part in it in any way possible like kicking a little Jack Russell towards a buss stop.
Personally i think the image quality of this viral video is very clear and seems very professional on the other hand i don't find the audio is that impressing and could be way better.
video Viral Analysis
This is a Viral marketing video created by Toyota car company
the name of the advert is "All New Yaris vs Monster Truck Toyota UK TV Advert"
The advert is a like a music video, there are cartoon characters rapping lyrics that describe how cool the product is.
in my opinion the target audience is young adults and since the car is not that big it also attracts first time drivers. It also attract a very urban audience , people that have a very urban mentality.
the video usually appears mostly on t.v and internet.
the purpose of the video is to advertise this product and to show the public audience that the product is better than any other product for different reasons.
