prezzi evaluation
Using the site prezzi is all something new to me. what i like about prezzi is that it
turns a boring plain brainstorm or PowerPoint into a very animated and fun to watch presentation.
Presentation is the practice of showing and explaining the content of a topic to an audience or learner. Presentations come in nearly as many forms as there are life situations. In the business world, there are sales presentations, informational and motivational presentations, first encounters, interviews, briefings, status reports, image-building, and of course, the inevitable training sessions (ref:wiki).

When I started using prezzie I found it difficult due to the fact I had just been introduced to it on the other hand because I’m a pretty fast learner I started getting the hang of it and managed to design the presentation in my own way and style. Also being a very confident person I found it really easy to present it to the class, the positive feedbacks I got were ,I’m clear spoken ,the use of improvisation really worked well and also the fact that I used audio in the background in my presentation helped to make it more entertaining .
From the feedbacks , my main weakness’s were the lack of details involved in the presentation. I also realized this weaknesses because although I did a lot of improvisation I ran out of points to improvise on which made the presentation look very un-organized. In order to next time get a better outcome if I was to make another presentation I will have to do more research and have more paper work to back up my chosen subject.

Task 1
TV Advertisements are basically short video's that usually last under a minute published on t.v to advertise and try and sell products
In order to try and persuade their target audience , in their adverts they usually include a lot of persuasive language ,a lot of repetitive language for example jingles and slogans.
it is estimated that the average american consumes Around 3,000 adverts a day the reasons for this because adverts are shown nearly everywhere ,on air balloons ,billboards,tv,shop floors ,bus's ,shelves,on the side of telephone booths and also blimps. The only way you could avoid being exposed to adverts is if your asleep. Because of their great advertisement campaigns over the years, the company 'coca cola' is the 2nd most uttered word in the usa.
Advertisers that usually sell materialized usually add personalities and characters to try and sell their products this technique is successful because those characters represent the product and so if you can’t talk to the product or connect in any way with the product you can connect with the character for example the malborn cigerette was aimed at working class white men who had just come back from war and just sat behind the desk.
Research is a big part of advertisement ,research in advertisement started in 1932 by a man called George Gallop realized that a lot of persuasion was needed in order to sell a product and doing research to know what the public wanted helped to do this.Research also helps agencies prove to clients why they should spend millions on adverts and also. From all the research advertisers realized that the main methods that made adverts effective is color print on ads showing short headlines and also repetition was a key to success.

since we are exposed to so much adverts most of the times we don't care when they come on but advertisers have figured out a way of keeping us on a specific channel and not switching over and thats by making sure the first thing you see attracts you.every year advertising improves in some way or another for example when the internet started to be something in everyones house holds companies started advertising online but a research shows up to 50% of the public don't bother clicking on them and so they have looked for a new approach and thats to pay people to watch adverts
